Hello all,
Our electricity went out this evening. Flickered back on. Then out again. Thank goodness it was only 830pm so I could still see around the house. I lit up some vanilla candles and waited. Everytime the lights go out I think the very same thing. What can you do without electricity? The candlelight isn't bright enough to read. My dishes were already done. ... Then I thought...Of course! I could talk on the cell phone! I called my Mom.
Of course five minutes after I called the lights came back on. That ole Murphy's Law for you. I left the candles burning for a little bit. My sense of smell is great. Which isn't so great some of the time. But I love the smell of vanilla. I know it too can be a little too much sometimes. But for me it's a smell of comfort. Kind of silly, huh? And that's ok. I don't mind being a little silly at all.
Have a good Tuesday! Crossing my fingers we hit 80 degrees again tomorrow!
Hugs!
Bridget

I remember when my daughter, Nicole was visiting her Papa and G-ma, her skirt and top were left in the washer, and the snap rusted on to the collar of the top. G-ma said, "Don't worry, I'll embroider flowers over the rust stain. It was the cutest thing I ever saw. G-ma put flowers on each collar point, around the hem of the skirt, and down the buttons. Nicole loved that outfit.
